City of Redding - Redding, CA
Environmental Wetlands Restoration

Project consists of two sites totaling more than 20 acres of wetland restoration. Terre Construction is working with Helm Environmental to reconstruct vernal pools and critical habitat. Erosion control will involve seeding with straw overlay for protection through Winter.

Coyote Valley - Redwood Valley, CA
Civil Construction

This $2.4 million residential infrastructure restoration consists of relocating underground utilities including electric, water, sewer and gas. The road reconstruction includes grading, paving, curb, gutter and sidewalk. /b/


Fort Ord - Monterey Bay, CA
Forestry/Fuel Reduction

Through his ongoing association with Ahtna, Mr. Findleton worked on multiple phases of the former Fort Ord facility, listed as a National Priority List (NPL/superfund) site which included areas subject to the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. The environmental restoration consisted of UXO cleanup and extensive ground water treatment. "Stillwell Hall, a 60,000 square foot former Officers" Club, underwent emergency demolition, due to beach erosion at the base of the 150 foot cliff. The demolition began with asbestos removal and lead-based paint abatement. Removal of over 30,000 tons of rip rap along the shoreline concluded the environmental restoration.

Hickam Air Force Base - Honolulu, HI
Civil Construction

The Fire Departments of the Hickam Air Force Base and the State of Hawaii International Airport contracted for the construction of an aircraft fire training facility. Mr. Findleton was brought in to manage the completion of the project designed to simulate a fire-engulfed transport-sized aircraft. The facility consisted of the mock aircraft fitted with burners for flame effects, fed from a 120,000 gallon liquid petroleum tank, and fire suppression headers fed from a water retention pond.


Homeland Security - Nationwide
Forestry/Fuel Reduction

In connection with the Homeland Security program, Mr. Findleton managed simultaneous construction projects for installation of radiation detection monitoring devices at multiple U.S. shipping ports.


Latrobe Hills Estates - Latrobe, CA
Forestry/Fuel Reduction

Mastication project consisting of 100+ acres of heavy brush to be cut and left in place for erosion control. After brush was masticated the property was sprayed to kill any remaining vegetation a seeding process all done via helicopter. This project was part of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, NRCS.

Little Grass Valley - Grass Valley, CA
Civil Construction

During a narrow construction window, while lake levels were low at the Little Grass Valley Reservoir, Mr. Findleton and his crew completed the demolition and removal of the existing boat ramp. They constructed a 30 foot x 233 foot ramp during freezing temperatures, using a portable on-site batch plant. The following Spring, they returned to complete the remainder of the renovations to the restrooms, septic tank, leach field, and asphalt resurfacing.


Marinas & Rivers - California
Marine Construction

Terre Construction supervised maintenance dredging for Ahtna's multiple project sites including the Martinez Marina and the Benicia Bridge along the Sacramento River. Terre Construction's experience also includes installation of sheet piles for the riverbank realignment in Petaluma, California.


Rincon - San Diego, CA
Natural Disasters Rehabilitation

After the 2007 wildfires in Southern California destroyed homes and over 100 vehicles, Terre Construction worked under the FEMA guidelines to gather, sort and haul fire debris throughout the reservation. Concurrently, Terre recycled and stockpiled over 15,000 tons of concrete and asphalt into Class II AB for future use.
